Visiting the petrol bowser can be a costly exercise these days, and we often only buy enough fuel to see us through on our essential journeys.

Fuel prices are unpredictable, and the petrol stations we pass while out driving on our regular trips might be the most convenient, but they aren’t necessarily the cheapest.

It’s easy to compare real-time pump prices these days with a range of apps and websites showing the cheapest fuel in your area.
